WNDR3700V4 loses 2.4 GHz band

About once a week my WNDR3700V4 loses the 2,4 GHz band i.e. there is no ourput and I need to restart the device to get it back.  The 5GHz band continues to be unaffected.

 

Is this a known issue ?  Is there a resolution other than buying a new router ?

    also, firmware is the latest version available for download - 1.0.2.102

      Did it just start? 

      Did it start after updating the firmware? 

      What happens if you do a factory reset and reinstall?
