wndr4300 ftp help
Ok, this might be of some old work.
Here is the situation, I have this router and a usb attached to it. I can see that the usb is connected to the router throught the main menu. I also see that there is two other options http and network neighborhood/mac share. I cannot find where port 21 is blocked or how to open a different port and be able to conenct to it through wan INTRANET. Everything that i have googled has been through the INTERNET, nothing intranet. I have tried the ftp://readyshare.routerlogin.net/shares option and all I get is error connection timed out. When I check the ftp option to try and apply, I get a dialog box that the port is being used by other applications. I cannot change the port 21 since this is and INTRANET option. Any clues on what I need to do?
Thank you for your input
II have checked the port under port forward/triggering for port 21 and it is set.
i have this router set as a main ap before it goes through a cable modem and to the ISP. I cannot set the port for some weird reasons under ready share and I cannot see the port through an INTRANET option like computer to computer using a program like cerebus or a ftp server.
When i I try to select this option under the ready share within the router, it tells me that the port is being used and needs to be checked. I then went through and made sure that the port was not being used as a service on the router and I get the same error. I re establish a new ftp service and open the port, I get the same error. I'm totally lost.

Welcome to the community, LexLuthor
Can you verify if you have any port 21 set under Port Forwarding?
It's either you use FTP option under Port Forwarding or under USB Storage.
By the way, will you be able to access the FTP within local network?
What's the exact network setup you have? There might be another NAT running in your network that's why it doesn't work.
