If you had ddwrt on it, you should check with their forum on how to remove their firmware. They'd be the experts on removing it.
Our advice could make it worse.
I assume that you obtained dd-wrt from some website or other.
Alongside instructions on how to apply this alternative firmware for your router, there should also be details on how to backtrack and restore the stock firmware.
Netgear doesn't support third party firmware and there are not many experts in that stuff around here.
Use tftp to try and unbrick it.
