WNR1000 V3 Reset Trouble
Hi,
I've a netgear wnr 1000 v3 since 6yrs.Yesterday having access to the control panel for some checks I've noticed a notification about a firmware update due security patch. I acepted to upgrade the firware, my bad I did it via wifi... anyway something went wrong so now I need to restore the original one.
At the moment the status is about the power led blinks with green light. In accord with reference manual it should be caused by corupted firmware.
I start by saying that I've connected my pc with cable to the router and I set a static ip address (192.168.1.2, net mask 255.255.255.0) and indeed when I ping 192.168.1.1 I've a response.
First I've tried with the support software of CD but the result is that "No Ethernet Card Found", then I tried using "tftp2.exe" and also standard TFTP client of windows but I don't have any good result.
Of course I've also use a paper clip to force the reset using the specific button and i followed all the possibile combinations related with the reset button.
Someone can give me some other hints?
Thank you in advance,
Marco
- Instead to run recovery utility from Windows 10 I used a Windows 7, now I solved. Hope it helps in case someone else is having the same problem. Marco
