WNR2000v4 as Wireless Repeater?

I have a Netgear wireless router in my basement with the Cable modem.

I have a second Netgear Router (WNR2000v4) router that I would like to setup as a wireless repeater on the second floor.

In chapter 7 of the user manual it indicates the option to enable this is under Advanced | Advanced Setup | Wireless Repeating Function

However, in my router, under Advanced | Advanced Setup there is no Wireless Repeating Function??

Does this need to be enabled somewhere else to show up?

I am on firmware v1.0.0.64

Thank you for any help!!

The repeating function has been removed on firmware version 1.0.0.58 due to less security.

If you like the feature, you will need to downgrade the firmware.

        You're welcome.

The instructions and the file can be downloaded here

  • I have the same router and I'm trying to downgrade but the website I'm told to go to to make the changes never comes up on any Web browser I pull up and can't change it
