xbox one connection problems

I Cant connect to xbox live with the router

with older routers i used like n300 i had to change something in the firewall settings or lower the firewall setting but on this router im not sure what to do

What is the best configuration for N750 to communicate with xbox one for online purposes

Router is not list the Router is N750 WNDR4300V2

  • Well for one I had the router setup correctly. I simply for got that I had my Xbox one console set to a static Ip for a different router I was using, before getting my n750 dual gigabyte router. So once I changed my setting on my Xbox to auto configure ip and auto configure DNs, the Xbox one was able to communicate with the router and connect online.
The ip was set to a range that wasn't in range with the new router.

xbox consoles only need auto IP configuration and uPnP enabled on routers. You can set a IP address servation for the console as well ON the router. This works for single game consoles. QoS is dependent upon your ISP speed service and weather or not you have others using band width while your gaming.

  • Thanks the tech provided me with that same information
