"192.168.1.1 didn’t send any data." Error when attempting to edit device in attached devices menu

Model: Netgear Nighthawk R7000p AC2300

Firmware: 1.3.2.134

I cannot edit any device in the attached devices menu. After clicking on apply, the screen greys out and shows "192.168.1.1 didn’t send any data." I have tried different browsers as well: Chrome, MS Edge, and Firefox. It does let me edit them through the Netgear app but the reason I want to be able to edit the devices in the browser is so I can change the device priority with QoS which the app does not show.

I searched this forum and found similar questions but for different routers and no solutions. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

       Which "the Netgear app"?

    > Firmware: 1.3.2.134

You might try a different/older version.  Recently there have been
complaints about editing on the Attached Devices page on multiple

    models.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads.  (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".)  Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want.  Read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions. (In the User Manual, look for "firmware", and,
especially, for a topic like "Manually Upload Firmware to the Router".)
When that fails because of a deficient User Manual, try:

          https://kb.netgear.com/23960

Netgear typically puts more effort into formal support requests
(warranty or paid) than complaints posted here.  Which is more annoying
when they break some existing feature, affecting post-warranty devices.

Duh?  Read much?  Or just post the same old boilerplate, regardless?

I don't see how.  Clearly, the web browser is talking to the
router's management web site (at the router's default LAN IP address).

There are several ways of getting at this, which are you using? The browser graphical user interface (GUI), a desktop client for your system, a mobile app?

It might also help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router, if there is one. The model number could be useful. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?

The reason for asking is that a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.

      • Thank you so much! I uploaded version 1.3.0.20_10.1.1 and this resolved my issue. I can edit the devices now.

I'm using the web browser to access the router. I am not sure what the model of the modem is but it is a ONT from Verizon. Just a modem from what they say.
