AC2000 R6850 Wont Connect to Ethernet / AP Mode Fail

So, I've owned this router for at least 1.5 years with no issues. I had it setup previously to act as an AP when it suddenly stopped working.

It no longer recognizes any ethernet connection I plug into it. I have tested the connections and every Ethernet cable I have tested on other devices works without issue.

I've run the setup wizard after it says it has detected no connection, and then detects a static IP. I've entered the IP/gateway/Subnet/DNS manually and continues with no connection.

I have updated the firmware manually to latest version (V1.1.088_1.0.1).

Leaving all settings in default and just activating AP leaves me with no connection and results in me having to reset the router so I can access the login page again (WTF Netgear! Allow me access in AP mode).

Anyone able to offer help?

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

Has a power OFF of the router and the upstream router for 1 minute then back ON been performed?

Press the reset button for 10 seconds then release then complete the setup wizard.
