AC2400, Horrible packet loss and ping

Question

I've had issues like this in the past and the way I fixed it was by updating the firmware. Now that these problems have returned I've gone ahead and hard reset the router and the firmware is up to date. The problem is that the problems have not gone away and now I'm duped. The problems started yesterday 3/19/2021. Games like apex have noticable packet loss that causes the game to freeze for a half a second every five seconds or so. Roblox has absurdly high ping varying from 300ms to 900ms ping.

Here is the packet loss and ping of Apex. Unlike roblox apex doesn't have high ping but does have massive packet loss exceding 40% depending on the in game situation.

I'm gonna see if I can revert to more early firmware versions. but reverting to the update "AC2400 Firmware Version 1.2.0.74"

Update: I think the problem wasn't the router but rather the modem. doing a simple reset got rid of most of the ping issues. If need be I'll do a hard reset on the modem and that should make things better.

What modem do you have?&nbsp;Do you have a screen snip of the modems cable connections page and the logs?&nbsp;
