Actual support
Has anyone ever actually gotten support from a person at Netgear? The whole "support" setup seems to be geared to avoid that.

- BeebonhAspirantI have a simple question. I follow the nighthawk prompts until it tells me to connect to my network, and then it won't accept my password, which I've repeatedly verified. Netgear supports answer to this is to connect a device to my wifi so I can troubleshoot. Anyone see an issue with that? Am I just dumb? (I'm willing to accept that possibility)

To get a hold of support. Click on "MyNetgear" at the top.
Register an account (or login) and then the device.
From there you can start the support process. Keep in mind that its only free for the first 90 days. When its asking you for a password, is it the wifi password or the password for the gui?
the default wifi ssid/password should be on the label for it.
IF that's not working, factory reset the device by pushing and holding reset for 7-15 seconds
If you're asking about the gui info,
the default login is: admin
default password: password
All are case sensitive.
And it'll ask you to setup a new login password for the gui once you enter the router.
There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc.
Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/
Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above.
Its a great resource to start with. - michaelkenwardGuru - Experienced User

Likewise, we have no idea how you are trying to contact support and what happens.
From what they tell us here, plenty of people manage to get through to support. So it must be possible.
