AP, Bridge or Mesh? (R7000)
Hi
Stupid question from a noob, sorry. I have a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 in my living room. I have an ethernet cable from my living room to my bedroom in the opposite end of the house that my Nvidia Shield is currently using. Can I get a 2nd R7000 and use that in AP mode or bridge mode to:
1: Have better wifi coverage in my bedroom for wireless devices?
2: Have just one SSID and not thinking about changing network as I move around the house?
3: Still use the LAN ports on the 2nd R7000 (AP) for wired devices like Playstation and Nvidia Shield?
4: Access my home network like NAS and shared folders and printers on the 2nd R7000 (AP).
Thanks in advance.
*Edit: Any better/newer routers/AP's that would be a better option than buying a 2nd R7000?

You can attach another router to that to achieve most of your goals.
If its a netgear device, you'd want access point mode. Bridge mode in the routers means it uses the routers wireless connection to connect back to the primary router.
In AP mode, you'd simply connect it and seutp your device. You'd have wireless access and the ethernet ports would still work fine.
But the "mesh" option wouldn't be there. the only current devices that support full mesh mode with a hardwired backhaul is the orbi series or the MK60/80 series.
