Bridge mode with 802.11ad on Nighthawk x10 R9000
Hello, I was wondering if we can use 802.11ad on x10 to form a bridge between two x10 routers? Thanks, Mihir

Depends if the other supporting AD router supports wireless bridge mode.

Yes, if you are using the same R9000 as the main host router and AP and a 2nd R9000 in wireless bridge mode, it should work.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
If I use another router supporting 802.11ad, will the bridge mode work on R9000?
Thanks,
Mihir

There is no point in bridding AD as the range is not even 20% of 5ghz. It cant penetrate walls . it has to be in the same room more over line of site.
I guess your testing is only going to work if both the routers are in the same room line of site and you cant do a wired . But it too much costly affair .
You could get x4 7300 extender which will give you 1500+ connection rate which is equals to 1gbs/s
