Nighthawk R7000 openvpn Cannot load certificate file client.crt
Hello I have Nighthawk R7000 running firmware V1.0.11.136_10.2.120 and I was wanting to run a vpn. I followed the instructions about how to turn on the vpn service and installing openvpn. When I try to run openvpn I get this error in the log: 2023-11-10 14:19:55 us=703000 MANAGEMENT: Client disconnected 2023-11-10 14:19:55 us=703000 Cannot load certificate file client.crt 2023-11-10 14:19:55 us=703000 Exiting due to fatal error Now searching here I found that this was a previous issue that was fixed in version 1.0.9.30 but that was back in 2018. Hi, All i have recently started facing an issue with 5ghz, sometimes it doesn't show up. Sometimes does but not accepting connections. As soon as I try to connect it says couldn't connect. I have tried changing various firmware(s) but no luck. Factory reset but no luck. I checked debug page when 5ghz is on it shows "5g wifi temperature -186". Is this a sign of hardware failing? Or is there a any way I can check if hardware is faulty?Nighthawk X6S R8000P Guest Network won’t enable with password protection
I am setting up a Nighthawk R8000P and have my main networks broadcasting and when O go to enable my guest network, if I password enable it, the router sends an error below. If I just open a guest network without a password, it works great. Any kind of password encryption, the below error: “Configuration Error” Any ideas???Nighthawk AC2300 work with Orbis RBR10s?
Hello all and big thanks, in advance, for your insight. We installed Orbi RBR10s (the white, square router, 2 satellites) a couple years ago. They are connected to a router provided by an ISP. I have Nighthawk AC2300 (Model R7000P) just collecting dust now and it's discouraging. Is there any way to use my Nighthawk with the Orbis? Would it just be redundant? Everything is working fine, I don't want the Nighthawk to just 'go to waste'. I realize the Orbis are an older version but I've read conflicting articles etc about the ability to use the with the Nighthawk. Is it possible to use it as a switch or any other re-purpose? I have had spectrum internet at our cottage several years now. We have constantly had issues with frequent disconnects. We have a Spectrum Cisco Modem. We started with a cheap Netgear router and also had a netgear range extender. We decided to change to a Nighthawk AX4 RAX35 to see if it helped with all of the drops. We were still having issues and when the internet would go off and back on, no devices could rejoin the network until we were able to power cycle everything. We had a Nighthawk X4 7500v2 we used for years with Mediacom without any issues and decided to swap the routers out hoping to fix the issue. Well the 7500 will not connect. We tried reconnecting the RAX35 and it no longer will connect either now. Spectrum will not help because it is not their router. Funny thing is, I can connect my laptop directly to their modem and it will not connect to LAN unless I call them. Even after I power cycle the modem. I can not figure out how to access the router admin through a computer any longer either. It just tells me to download the app and if I try to bypass and go through 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1, routerlogin, etc it says no internet/can not connect. I was able to get my android connected to the network without internet. I tried using the updated app to connect and the app can not see the router. I have tried googling and YouTubing but I have not found anything that works. Does anyone have any insight? Thank you!!USB Disk Remote access attached to router in AP mode.
Hi, I've got two routers: R7800 as a main router. R6400v2 as a router in an AP mode. Both of them are connected with an ethernet cable from my main router's (R7800) LAN port to another router's (R6400v2) WAN port. I've got three USB disks: two of them connected via USB 3.0 R7800's ports and the third one is connected via USB 3.0 R6400v2's port. I can access them all in LAN network, I can remote access disks connected to the R7800 also (using DDNS). But i cannot remote acces disk connected to the R6400v2. How can I setup remote access to the USB disk connected to R6400v2?
NIGHTHAWK R7000 won’t register
Good evening, I’ve tried contacting netgear about this but still waiting for a response. I bought a nighthawk router used and when I try to go register it, it won’t let me cause it’s been registered. Is there anything netgear support can do to fix this so I can register it? Thank you. -CF
