I recently changed internet providers and now my extender won't connect. I factory reset it and used the Nighthawk app to set it up. On my phone it says it's connected, but the extender itself doesn't show it's connecting. I also have an ethernet cable connected from the extender to my desktop. My desktop still isn't connecting to the internet, so I know the extender isn't working. I called support and after TWO hours, they were unsuccessful in helping me. I'm calling back again and I've now been on hold for an HOUR! This is ridiculous. Unhappy is an understatement. Please help.3.2KViews0likes3Commentshow to replace a r7000p-100nas with a rs300
The RS 300 showed up and would like to know if there is a video on how to replace/remove the Netgear Nighthawk AC2300. If there is no video, then can I get some help on what is the best way to get this accomplished. I have 2 hardwired desktops, hardwired laptop, iPhones, iPads and an EPSON & HP ENVY Pro 6544 printers. I am thinking that there is software to be removed from the computers. Hello, this is my first post. Although I am a long time Netgear user! For over 2 decades, I have used two of their cable modems, some Wi-Fi routers, Wi-Fi adapters and many of their venerable 4, 8, and 16 port switches for the home! The EAX15 is the latest Netgear hardware to add to my list! First of all, it works great! I mean, my network setup is fairly simple and kind of old. But it works very well for extending my old 802.11n 2.4 GHz network just fine! I was worried that it may not support that old stuff... Firmware:1.0.3.36 Not explicitly listed on the configuration website mywifiext.local (why?)... but it's up to date and Netgear's site says 1.0.3.36. Model: "EAX15-100NAS" That's written on UPC code portion of the box above serial number, MAC and so forth numbers. The forum suggested there might be a V2 or V3 version of EAX15, but I don't see that anywhere. I guess it's just EAX15. So I have a few questions: Being an old user of home network appliances, I was able to quickly plug my computer into the Ethernet jack of the EAX15 and configure the "conventional" way as expected. The IP was a bit different, but that was easy to figure out. To my dismay, I noticed that documentation neglects telling users about this capability and instructs them to install the Nighthawk App. I installed the app and noticed it wanted me to create an Internet account and provide information to Netgear not relevant for the local network device ... like, Location? OK, maybe it's for Wi-Fi regulatory domain. But still... why wouldn't you document the "old fashion" way to do this? And why would you require an Internet account and collect lots of data from our phones for a strictly local network appliance? This is probably a dumb question. But why can't this product simply amplify or repeat a signal on specific frequencies? Why do you need a man-in-the-middle computer to serve simultaneously as an access point and wireless client? This device is way more complicated in functionality than I thought it would be. I use Adguardhome to protect my elderly father from scams and malware (and helpless devices). I logged into it today and noticed that my EAX15 queries netgear.com about 200 times per hour. What exactly is my strictly local network device communicating with Netgear? I've attached s screenshot of part of my adguardhome statistics page for context. Anyway, I'm otherwise very pleased with the device. It works great! Good job Netgear!1.2KViews0likes1CommentRS300 Rapidshare unable to create folders

Hi everyone, I’ve been facing some issues with Wi-Fi connectivity in my gaming setup, especially in a room that’s a bit far from the router. I recently upgraded to the Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 Gaming Laptop, and while it’s been an amazing machine for performance, I noticed lag spikes during online gaming sessions due to inconsistent Wi-Fi signals. I’m considering getting a range extender to resolve this issue. Can anyone recommend a reliable Netgear extender that works well for gaming? I’m looking for something that provides low latency and stable speeds, especially since I often play competitive titles. Also, does anyone have tips on setting up the extender for the best possible performance? I’m open to suggestions on placement or configuration settings to minimize interference. Thanks in advance for your help! Looking forward to hearing your experiences. netgear community members ,community members, I hope you can provide helpful answers and assist me with this issue.1.4KViews0likes1CommentAC1750, Model R6400v2 Not compatible with Spectrum Gig Plan?
I purchased this router (R6400v2) back in 2021 when I had Spectrum's 500mbps plan, it worked great the entire time. Fast forward to April of this year, I moved into a new house and decided to upgrade to the 1gig plan. I was told that my router is not compatible with this plan offered by Spectrum, but I'm not sure how much I trust that this fairly new router capable of gig speeds isn't compatible. Am I just coping and in denial and this router will actually never work, or does anyone know any secrets on how I could make it work? I'm tired of the standard router issued by Spectrum. Next to no customization and it has a weak signal that doesn't reach my entire house. I figured I'd rather ask on here before going and shilling more money for a "supported device." ThanksSolvedMy Netgear AC1750 EX6400v3 Wifi Extender is no longer working and I can't find any info on the model
So, I recently moved out of my home and started using this WiFi extender because my side of the property was further away from the router. I first set up the extender through the website method, which has worked great for the past three months. This week, it stopped out of nowhere. It would show you are connected to the extended WiFi but would not receive any WiFi; when trying to connect to the WiFi on my phone, it would see "address not found." Next, I factory restarted it and tried to restart it three different times. I did all three possible ways to set up the WiFi extender (Nighthawk app, WPS, and the website method), and it still does the same thing, where all four lights are green, but you would connect to it without receiving WiFi. I can't find any info on this specific model online. I only see people selling it on eBay, or it directs me to a different model, like the AC1900 Ex6400v3 WiFi extender. Was this model discontinued or something?728Views0likes1CommentNetgear EX6150v2 Not Connecting to TMobile TMO-G4AR Router
Hello all, I am having issues setting up my Netgear EX6150v2 on my TMobile WiFi network using a TMO-G4AR router. Since I don't have a WPS button on my router, I started setting it up as instructed in extender mode through the Netgear installation assistant. I'm able to get all the way to the final steps of connecting my devices to the newly created extension networks, but I always get a "Could not connect the extender to the existing network" message, and the Router LED link never turns on. I'm not sure what's causing the hangup. I am 100% certain that I used the correct password for the existing network, and I have attempted a factory reset and reconnect to no success. Does anyone know if this is a user error, extender problem, or if my router is not compatible with this device? Thanks for the help,732Views1like0Comments
