Can't connect to readyshare WIN10
Hi,
I have a R7000 Nighthawk router (latest firmware) and try to connect some USB storage to it.
I have tried several. Connecting to the router goes ok, the router finds the drive and it is possible to make some changes in the http/ftp setttings as well as the storage folder. So far so good.
But, in windows network it finds the netgear router as a networkthing and also as a computer. But not as storage. When I try to log into it as computer it needs admin as user but the password is disapproved. I typed it right, i am sure off that.
I have tried to use all kinds of fixes I could find on the internet regarding my laptop and WIN10, nothing worked so far.
So. perhaps you can help me out ?

What sort of USB storage? Is it anywhere on this list?

That isn't up to date or complete, but it offers some guidance.

It is FAT formatted but I tried NTFS as well.
I tried several different storage devices. USB stick, USB SSD, USB HDD.
They are without login protection.
None of them worked.
For SMBv1, something strange happened.
I enabled it but wanted to check if it is still enabled but now it is no longer in the features list. I don't know how to get it back.
I tried a lot of other changes in Windows, for instance in lanmanserver in regedit.
Nothing worked for now.- michaelkenwardGuru - Experienced User
