Circle 1st Gen Blocking Traffic

I seem to have a similar, if not the same issue, as this poster. Dishearteningly enough, it's been almost a year with no real response or solution.

Once I got the Circle app set up, and turned on the parental control setting on my router, every single website I tried to visit would give a DNS error. Devices showed that they had full internet connection, as did the admin page and the indicator light on the router. The second I turned off parental control, things went back to normal. I've made sure that every device listed on the Circle app is put into a group, unmanaged or otherwise. I've rebooted each device, as well as the router, several times.

On a side note, imagine being so unsure of your product that you only offer a "complimentary" (how kind) support, that end 3 months after you buy it. I've been a long time Netgear fan, and thankfully have never run into major issues. But just learning that, and learning that you don't get lifetime support for free, is enough to make me look for another brand entirely. Maybe I'm preaching to the wrong crowd here, but I am still taken aback at the pure amount of nerve Netgear has to do that to do their customers. Lifetime loyaly was crushed today. Hopefully this Circle issue can be resolved, but if not, I will just have another reason to find a new router.
