Connect Linksys RE4100W range extender to Netgear R7500 router
I just bought a Netgear R7500 router, how do I connect my existing Lindsys RE4100W range extender to it? Thank you.

There’s nothing to be done at the R7500, except perhaps I you have something set up like the Wireless Access List. Otherwise all the setup actions are at the RE4100W;

One more question, please.
Can now able to connect the Linksys RE4100W range extender to the NETGEAR R7500 router whic is dual band. However the extender can only locate (therefore connect) to the router's 5GHz, but cannot locate its 2.4GHz. Please help explain. Thank you.

Well I’m not really familiar with the RE4100W, but I guess that it will only connect to one band at a time when connecting to the base station. Do you see both bands available from the RE4100W for client computers to connect to?

Only 5GHz shows up in the extender, 2.4GHz does not exist at all. Thanks..

Btw., both 2.4GHz & 5GHz shown up in the same range extender when I used a Linksys router previously (i.e. before it is replaced by the current NETGEAR router)..

It’s difficult for me to find any information on the RE4100W, I guess you have a manual? You need to check in the manual for any connection configuration options. I don't know enough about the RE4100W to be able to offer useful advice. have you tried the Linksys forums?
