Connecting a DECT phone to the Nighthawk R8000P?

Hi there

 

Can the R8000P support a DECT basestation and VOIP?  I have a Siemens Gigaset S400A phone and looking to transfer my BT line to VOIP?.. Can I use one of the LAN ports to connect the basestation? Or is there something else I need to plug in? (Adapter?)  I see on some routers there are dedicated DECT Ethernet ports??  My Nighthawk is running latest firmware - V1.4.3.88_1.3.50.   Thanks

    Something to check with the phone mfr about regarding there product. 

    If it's got a RJ45 LAN port, possible it could be connected. All depend on what the phone needs for services thru a router.

      Thanks Furrye38.. it certainly has an RJ11 to RJ45 ethernet cable in the box so maybe thats a good sign. Will check with the Gigaset community…
