Difficluties Setting Up EX7700 extender

Dear Community,

I am having trouble setting up my EX7700 extender.  It had been set up with a different router but I had to recently change to a new one.  Doing that, however, has meant that I can't seem to set up the Extender with the new router.  The client link LED is a solid white and the WPS led is a solid white but the router link LED is off (will periodically flash red but then go dead).  When I try to use the Nighthawk Netgear app to set up the extender with the new router, however, it can't find "NETGEAR_EXT" and thus I cannot update the extender to access the new router.  The app/extender says it is having problems connecting to the wifi.

What do I need to do so that the extender, configured to a router and wifi system I no longer use/have, can be configured to my new router/wifi?

Thanks for your assitance in advance!

Have you considered trying the the obvious?

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Read.  Look for "Factory
Default Settings" and/or Return the Extender to Its Factory Default
Settings".  Do that.  Then, start at the beginning with your newly
virginized extender.  Its User Manual might be helpful with that
    operation, too.
