Do I need to upgrade my AC1750 (R6700)? Having to reboot often.
I have an older (4 years old) Nighthawk AC 1750 that has worked well until I added some hardware to the system in June. Since then I have had certain devices drop off the system and forcing a reboot....

I have the WiFi router and it works fine on all my devices. Recently I changed my internet provider to a line of sight dish with speeds in excess of 500 Mbps and the installer said that I should get a WiFi 6 router. I want to know why he said that and in that case which one?

Sounds like rubbish.
How does the Internet get to you? What sits between the R6700 and the Internet? Some sort of modem?
A WiFi 6 router – 6 or 6E? – is there to support WiFi clients at your end, not to receive a signal from the outside world.
WiFi 6E is for 6GHz clients. These are not widespread.
The R6700 is certainly an ageing (2014) router, but it should handle input at 500 Mbps. You then have to ask yourself if your network has devices that are beyond its capability before you shell out any money.
