    This should be working perfectly.

We have one working in a remote office using 240V.

    Hi charlesle

    Welcome to the community!

Yes you can. Just make sure that you use the same DC output of 19V, 3.16A.

      Thank you ElaineM

As an U.S. expat working in India, I was planning to get a co-worker to bring the X8 for me next week. I have an India purchased universal power strip (made by Belkin), which uses a Type D (5A) plug as shown here:

      http://www.worldstandards.eu/electricity/plugs-and-sockets/

I can plug your typical U.S. Type A plug into it and it works fine for all of my gadgets (MBP, work laptop, etc.)

Can you confirm if things will work properly? I am not sure when the X8 is coming to India, but the reason I'd like to bring one from the U.S. is so I am able to use it in my home when I return to the U.S. without having to hook up a power adapter.
