EA ANTHEM only works with DMZ or every port open. Issues with R6220

This is my third time trying to get help on this.

 

EA ANTHEM only works with DMZ or every port open. If I switch router to WNR3500 it works without any port forwarding.

 

There is obviously something wrong witth the R6220. I've reset to factory and tried multiple flash bios. I have also tried virtually every WAN setting. 

 

I NEED HELP !

       Firmware version?  Connected to what?  "issues"?

       WNR3500[v1] or WNR3500v2?  Look for "Model" on the product label.
    Firmware version?  Connected to what?

       Or else someone is doing something wrong.  (Which is where I'd put my
    money.)

       Same here.  In my case, I need a better description of your
    equipment, its configuration, what you did, and what happened when you
    did it.

      Very snarky comment. I've FACTORY RESET this, tried port forwarding. had SUCCESS with DMZ which PROVES this router is mishandling PnP and BLOCKING numerous ports that EA ANTHEM is using

      I would continue with this method BUT I have a second playstation I wish to play ANTHEM on and I cannot port forward to two IP addresses with the same ports (which are many and large ranges).


      My main question is... Why does the previous router WNR3500 work fine but the R6220 AC1200 has issues ?


      My last clue I can share is that when I used the R6220 AC1200 with default (reset) settings it complained of [DoS attack] ICMP Flood (likely from the EA servers) in the logs. Though disabiling DoD protection did not fix


      I have also constantly checked the logs. So I can see that EA ANTHEM connects on a lot of IP addresses and ports. The external ports are varied and the internal ports are varied.


      I've tried to be through with this post. I hope someone here can help. Happy to answer more questions.
