eax12 extender and nord vpn incompatibility

installed eax12 brand new out of the box

when trying to install Nord VPN the extender freezes the entire system and comes off line 

last time i tried it scrambled the original att u verse router so i had to replace the unit froze the entire unit with a mirror dialogue but that is beyond my level of knowledge

    Nord VPn is 3rd party firmware or a program you install on a device. 

    It either installs directly to a end use device like a tablet, pc, laptop.

    Or it installs 3rd party firmware to something like a router. 

    Its not installable to ATT's router or to the EAX12.

    Those things are very different from the standard Netgear routers covered in this section.

    In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

    You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

    I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
