How do I get my Ethernet network name to be the same as my wifi SSID?&nbsp; Or are they suppose to always be differetn?

the ethernet name is set by windows (if you're on windows).

You can change it but it requires a registry edit.

This for the router and not the adapter.&nbsp; I repeat this is for a Netgear R7000 Nighthawk Router.&nbsp;

I understand you have an R7000.&nbsp;But the network name through the ethernet interface is set by windows, not by the router.&nbsp;the router only sets the ssid name.&nbsp;

Ok, so this shouldn't be affecting my Internet connection with Xfinity/Comcase.&nbsp; My connect with my ISP goes down once every 24 hours it seems like.&nbsp; I don't my connection can go more than 72 hours before dropping.

so your actual problem isn't what you listed for what you wanted.&nbsp;You put your internet connection is dropping.&nbsp;1. What gateway do you have?&nbsp;2. what firmware is on the router?&nbsp;3. do wired devices and wireless drop or just wireless/wired?4. what fixes the issue5. Next time, go over the full issue if you're having a problem. Not just what you think the issue is. Otherwise we go back and forth wasting time just to find out that wasn't the actual issue.&nbsp;
