EX7500 KEEPS DISCONNECTING FROM INTERNET
Well this resolution cost me an extra $90; after spending $175 for this range extender.
I am writing this to put this solution for FREE out in the public, and avoid someone else
being overcharged for what should have been an already published and available solution.
PS. if you have problems, make sure you start calling support within 90 days of purchase.
My extender was showing as having the latest firmware update installed, so what finally worked
was the extra $90 solution - of simply downloading the firmware and apply it manually.
Here were the steps as i recall:
> download to local laptop and extract latest firmware update (i used EX7500-V1.0.0.68_1.0.76.chk)
> connect to the extender using the http://mywifiext/
> select the EX7500 extender
> then once logged on, choose "Firmware Update"
> select the local file method !! not online
> browse to the location of the .chk file (which was contained in the z.i.p download)
> once installation is completed, and restart has completed
> again, connect to the extender using the http://mywifiext/
> Then under Settings | Other | RESET using "Restore all settings to factory defaults."
> After the extender has restarted again, disconnect your laptop/workstation and attach to "EXT" network.
this makes a direction connection between your laptop/workstation and the extender
> Do the manual setup wizard, connecting to your multi channel respectively
Since doing this $90 (6 month subscription i was forced to subscribe);
next step would have been to toss all Netgear products .. I was very close to that option.

I'd recommend just asking on here next time. Its free and that'd have been the top things we'd recommend.
1. firmware update/reset
2. manual install process and not using wps.
I recommend both of these quite frequently :)
If you do have issues again with the extender, ask on here. But I'd recommend using the proper forum for that specific device, you're in the router forum and not extender forum. it can get confusing at times with all the seperate forums.
