Extremely slow router internet speeds when connected to Cisco Systems VPN Client 5.0.07.0440

Firmware Version - V1.0.4.102_10.0.75
OS - Windows 7 Professional Edition
Problem - Extremely slow router internet speeds when connected to Cisco Systems VPN Client 5.0.07.0440(Client type Windows, WinNT)
Details -
When I connect to the router through my office laptop without Cisco Systems VPN Client 5.0.07.0440 the internet speed goes up to 170 Mbps.
When connected to my office network using Cisco Systems VPN Client 5.0.07.0440(which I am forced to use) the internet speed drops down to 3 Mbps.
I have a hard time even sharing my screen/ or not share screen and use applications in the office network(cannot be copied to local desktop) while connected to office VP Cisco Systems VPN Client 5.0.07.0440.
I purchased this router in April 2020.
Please let me know if any additional information is required. Any constructive suggestions much appreciated!

A VPN runs your connection through the host server. If your speeds are fine when not on a vpn but are slow while on it, you should be checking with the host server as its the bottleneck. If that's your work one, check with your work IT department.
