Firmware update

Attempting to update firmware using the Nighthawk. However I get a firmware check error message. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

    Can you manually download the FW file and apply using a PC and web browser? 

    Is there a problem on the router or is it working ok?

      No problem with the router. I received an email from Netgear suggesting to download the latest firmware. Do you think it’s unnecessary?

        It's up to you. I recommend if your router is working, i'd leave it alone. 

        You don't have to always update FW.
