Firmware upgrade on R6900

When trying to do a firmware upgrade ver 1.0.1.22 on my Nighthawk R6900 I receive a message that no Internet connection is available. I don't understand how that can be when I have Internet service via WiFi or cat cable? I have tried to download the file on my computer and then upload to the router, but that will not work either. I have tried everything I can come up with, any idea's would be very helpful.

    Hi KEW,

     

    Reset the router to factory default and try again.
