Help! Trying to get Nighthawk AX4 AX3000 setup as a primary router.

To start I’m trying to help a friend get his network up and running since his router was stolen by a roommate. He’s using CenturyLink, his router connects via a coax cable. The Netgear Nighthawk does not have a coax connection. How can I get his Wi-Fi working? I’ve seen some coax to Ethernet adapters for like $15 but I’m not sure if it’s as simple as that, RCA to hdmi for example is also not as simple as a $15 adapter. Should I just get a router with a coaxial connection or is there a cheaper way of getting it to work. Thanks!

If he has coax coming into the apartment, he'll need a modem that is compatible with her service.

so he needs to contact his ISP to see what modem/gateway is compatible with his service. Once he has that, you connect the router to the modem.

It could be his other device was a modem/router combo device.
