Help with Nighthawk AC1900

Hello all, I am giving a try asking this here.

I am facing some issues with my router Nighthawk since a few months ago. Here is some context and what happened:

In the place I live, there is free internet, I just have to get a router and connect it, and then I used to use the networks that were created by default by the Nighthawk router.

It was just working fine and no issues. Then one day the owners apparently made some changes (I am not sure which kind) supposedly to make it faster.

Since these changes some tings happened, the default Netgear networks (2 and 5 G) stop providing internet.

Now, after this change, besides the 2 default Netgear networks, there are another 2 (also 2 and 5g) which are the only ones with internet. The problem is, and if I move around my apartment, I loose Wi-Fi.

Now, I have tried to connect again to the modem to try to make the signal stronger, unfortunately the Netgear networks do not work.

I have tried using the Mobile app and again is useless.

Is there anything you can suggest me to try ?

  • This is not really a router problem, is it? Whatever changes were made to the modem, the router should work, unless there's some exotic change being made.

What is tour router?  (AC1900 is a wifi speed. not a model number.)

How does it connect to whatever your owner provides? Plugged into something? Connected by wifi?

microchip8 is right in that this is really an issue to take up with the owner, but answer those questions and maybe you can get a better idea of what to ask them.
