how make WIFI without internet
I have a ac750. R6020 wifi router. and i need to set a wifi without using the internet. I need it to connect my ipad to an Allen & Heath QU-16 mixer, so i can mix the band remotely.
we do not need to have internet on or actualy want it on. the only way i can see to set up the routher is with the nighthawk app and that makes you connect it into the internet.
Is it possible to connect the router to a computer via and ethernet cable. and setup the router old school style, ie 192.168.1.1. ??
Some we play in places where they is no internet connection so we need to router to run wifi signal stand alone.
any help is appreciated

The R6020 is basic router, probably the bottom of the Netgear range.
According to Netgear's manual for this device, not always the most reliable source of information, the LAN and WAN support only 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX. That makes it slower than many newer internet services and most modern network hardware. This may not matter to you, but be warned that it will hobble you if you ever sign up for faster Internet. It also slows down whatever is going on in your local network. Newer devices support 1000BASE-TX.
You can connect to it via browser.
When you enter in its ip address during setup and it says "netgear recommends the app" there's a link at the bottom of the page that you can click on to setup using a browser and not the app.
