How to add MAC address for new iPhone

I replaced my old iPhone with a new one. I have found the MAC address on the new iPhone. I have assigned the same IP address, but how can I change the MAC address from the old one to the new one? Thank you.

Not sure why you wan to change the mac address. You didn't give much details on that but you wouldn't change it in the router.
I am asking with reference to my router interface at routerlogin.net. As I understand it, the MAC address identifies the device. The MAC address of my new phone is different than my old phone. Or do I need to delete the old phone and add the new phone?

To what? I don't know what that means. "assigned"? What, exactly,
did you do, where, exactly? Are you talking about Address Reservation,

Note that your (unspecified) "a new one" might be fiddling with its
MAC address, and, if you're doing anything involving its MAC address,
then you might want to disable that feature for your network.I'm sorry, I must have started in the middle instead of at the beginning.
I have previously gone into routerlogin.net, Advanced, Security, Access Control.
Access Control was turned off, but is now turned on (checked).
There is a table there where I have assigned an IP address for each of my devices that uses my router, and typed in the MAC address for each device, in order to limit access to my network. My old iPhone was listed, but I have now replaced it with a newer iPhone. When I transferred data from old phone to new, the transfer must have transferred the assigned IP address. The MAC address is preassigned when a device is manufactured, so the router would not 'know' what the MAC address is of the new phone. So I need to go into the Netgear router's interface to input the MAC address of the new device. I can get to the table that has that information, but it will not let me edit the MAC address. Can you please help me know how to either edit this information, or add the new phone. I can figure out how to delete the old one if I need to go that route (delete/add). Thank you.

Reservation. Which is unrelated to Access Control.I don't use it, so I know nothing, but, as I read the R7900P User

router, not by the iPhone. If "transferred data" transferred the MAC
address (which I would _not_ expect), then the router might see the same
old MAC address, and grant it the same old IP address as always.

you should do is "Turn private address off" on the new iPhone (for any
of the router's SSIDs which you might use), so that the new iPhone will
always uses the same MAC address when connecting to your router using
those SSIDs._Then_, you'd need to use the Add or Edit control in the router's
Access Control stuff to get the new iPhone's (now stable) MAC address

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for
topics like "Access Control" and "Address Reservation". Further reading
might not hurt, either.
