How to set NighthawkR7000 to repeater mode
Hello,
I just bought a netgear Nighthawk R7000 (AC1900 Smart Wifi)
and am trying to figure out how to set it to REPEATER Mode.
I follow the instructions to get up to Step 5 on this webpage:
https://kb.netgear.com/24108/How-do-I-configure-my-Nighthawk-router-as-a-wireless-repeater
....then get lost
because I cannot see or find any "Advanced" tab, button or icon to click on.......
Please help!
I am using GENIE.
Sincerely,
schoolbus
Hi schoolbus,
Check this KB article below.

Which "GENIE"? Ever helpful, Netgear uses the name "Genie" for more
than one thing. Netgear routers have a web-browser interface called
"Genie", and Netgear offers application programs for various
computers/pads/phones, which are also called "Genie".

Use a wired Ethernet connection to set up the repeater unit to
avoid conflicts with the wireless connection.
In other words, use the web-interface "Genie", not a "Genie" app.- schoolbusAspirant
I appreciate the reply, but this advice doesnt answer my question.....
The Genie I am referring too is the App that helps you to configure the router etc.
Can someone tell me what the webpage (see link in my post above) is referring too in its instructions for the Step # that I am stuck at? I see NO advanced tab or button or link.
Also, I cannot hardwire it otherwise I would. WIFI signal interference is not an issue.
Configuring the Netgear Router to be a repeater is the issue I am asking about.
Sincerely,
Schoolbus

To clarify, Genie is a webbrowser interface for configuring the router.
I hope my terminology is correct.
