I have RAX 70 Router

Hello,

The router works fine, but I am not getting any reception in the back yard. I am thinking of doing the following options:

1) Get another router to do Access Point (wired) to my RAX 70 Router. Any recommendations on which access point?

2) Go Mesh RBK 753 (2) and make the satellite an access point (wired) to the main router?

3) Just go Mesh RBK 753 with no wire connection?

Regards,

Peter

You didn't give us much to go off.

    1. what are your exterior walls made from? Thats usually what blocks wifi the best and is a key part.

    2. Is the access point going to be external to the house or still inside the house? (for if you need an outdoor rated access point or not)

    3. what size is the home?

    4. what are the interior walls made up of?

    5. what are you doing outside? are you needing 200mbps for high bandwidth use or just enough to have a connection for music/occassional streaming?

    6. Whats your budget? The RBK752 system is nice but expensive. If you've already got the RAX70 and can't return it, purchasing another whole system gets expensive. Versus if you only need the 1 access point and you can hardwire it in.

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the NightHawk RAX WiFi 6 Router products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with NH router products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

    Thank you.

Feel free to go there if you must, but that is not the best place to ask about wifi extenders. It just wastes your time and makes this place even messier than it needs to be.

Extenders are generic things that apply to any router you own, RAX or otherwise.

There is a separate place for extenders:

WiFi Range Extenders & Nighthawk Mesh - NETGEAR Communities

But that can suck you into another black hole.

plemans has already asked some key questions. But my first call would be on the product pages for extenders.

Please tag the OP user. Not me. I already know where posts should be.

        Thank you.
