Internet goes away in 2.4Ghz a few times a day
I have a AC1750 wifi router and the internet goes away for about 2 minutes in 2.4Ghz band. Happens 2-3 times a day. I bought this router in 2021. Please suggest how to troubleshoot.
This is usually 2.4 GHz interference or the radio resetting under load (very common on older AC1750 units). Try locking the channel to 1, 6, or 11, set bandwidth to 20 MHz only, and disable Smart Connect if enabled. If it still drops, it’s likely aging hardware and the 2.4 radio is starting to fail.
Thank you for replying. The device is R6350. Problem only with 2.4Ghz. I restarted the device and it was working fine. But the problem comes again after a few months.
It's been too long since I have accessed my Routerlogin. I have forgotten the password.
Looks like I have to reset the router. Please let me know if I can find the credentials elsewhere?
