Internet goes away in 2.4Ghz a few times a day
I have a AC1750 wifi router and the internet goes away for about 2 minutes in 2.4Ghz band. Happens 2-3 times a day. I bought this router in 2021. Please suggest how to troubleshoot.
If the problems happen several months apart, I'd either reboot it once a month or reboot it whenever the issue occurs. That router is pretty old and several generations behind. So you can milk it along a bit, but I wouldn't invest any $ in repairing or parts for it. I'd keep it working for a bit while saving up for a newer one.
To recover your login password, you can try the password recovery feature. If you didn't set it up, it'll still ask you the questions, but there won't be a correct response. If that's the case, you'd need to factory reset to get back in.
