Is segmented network possible..??

Hello all.

Can the Netgear Nighthawk AC2600 be configured so that the wired lan is separate/segmented from the wireless ip-range?

Thanks in advance.

  • As long as Allow guests to see each other and use the local network is disabled, then guests will only be able to access the Internet.  Guests will be in the same IP range as other devices but the router will block access.

  • For what purpose, to keep them apart from one another?

You could use the Guest Network facility for Wi-Fi which you could isolate away from your LAN

    I hope this helps

Yes, to keep them apart from one another.

When I switched on "Guest Access" my laptop got the same IP that it had when I had secure-WiFi turned on.  Not sure if turning on "Guest Access" really segments networks.

I am presuming this device does not let me allocate two sets of IP-ranges one for each band.

Oh well, I guess this is not possible on this appliance then.
