Last know working firmware for R8000p?
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows the last known good firmware for the R8000p
I'm currently on the latest firmware but QoS doesn't work, I factory reset it works for about 2 days then bugs out
Also address reservation doesn't work, I don't really care about all the latest security updates I just want the router to do what it's supposed to do!!

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Have you run a www pingplotter.com with a wired PC directly connected to the ISP Modem/ONT to see what your ping and latency is with out the router in the mix?

I'm just using the standard Hub 3 from Virgin Media, which is known to be awful.. I'm using cat7 cables throughout the network
I have made the changes you suggested, and QoS is working again.. give it a couple of days and see how it goes
Without QoS my download latency spikes up and down as high as 35-40, when I enable QoS and throttle the downstream the latency drops to around 13-16
Problem is usually a couple days after factory reset QoS just stops working and will only function again with another factory reset which is extremely frustrating

Do you know if the ISP modem can be bridged or are you using it's DMZ for the R8000p router?
Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
