Lightning Strike X4S D7800

After a severe storm, power outage and possible lightning strike my modem (via the routerlogin.net page) is saying Internet Error internet not connected. I have had a technician from the phone company come to the house and their test modem worked. Is my nighthawk fried?

    Possibly. Lightning is great at killing electronic stuff.

     

    What do the LEDs on the thing show?

     

    If you reset it and it won't work, it may be time for a replacement.

      Power is steady white, 2.4 and 5 g are flashing white, wifi is solid white and the lock symbol is sold white. No other lights.

        The D7800 is DSL modem/router. What about the DSL LED?

         

        If that isn't showing some colour, then the thing is either dead or the connection to the DSL socket has failed.

         

        The manual tells you what to look for.
