Modem and router on the same network
Hello !
Sorry if this is a noobish question, but I'm just starting to learn about network and servers and I don't really know the terminology and terms to type in my search engine.
Also, forgive my English as it is not my main language.
I have a network as shown in the attached image.
My ISP modem in the living room : 192.168.0.1
DHCP : Enable
Subnet mask : 255.255.254.0
My router in the office : 192.168.1.1 / 192.168.0.10 on the modem
DHCP : Enable
Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
Connection : fixed IP
I would like to access Server 2 in my office from my laptop / smartphone in the living room.
I would like Server 1 in the living room and Server 2 in the office to connect and backup to Server 3 in the office.
Basically, how can I have one single network in my house ?
Thanks for your help.
simple.
Put the R6120 in access point mode. that'll have it on the same subnet so all the devices can see each other.

That worked ! Thank you very much.
However, now my router IP adress isn't displayed anymore in my modem's listed devices so I have to "guess" its adress to enter the setup page.
Also, One of my servers isn't listed either in my routers devices list. It has an IP, I can access it, but it is not displayed.
Would you know why this could happen ?

After changing the router over to ap mode, The devices connected to it might need to be rebooted to pull a new ip address that is in the same range as the primary router.
