My R6700v3 router drops the speed from the Modem from about 300 to 45 to 50

I was looking at the numbers from the Spectrum Speed test.&nbsp; At least we can agree that the router is ok.&nbsp; My wife has no complaints and my desktop computer seems to work ok also, even though it is up stairs and away from the router.&nbsp; Don't want to beat this thing to death, but do want to thank you for your help.&nbsp; Lets call it a solution.dsc

1. what firmware are you on?&nbsp;
2. what modem/gateway is it connected to?
3. what device are you testing on?&nbsp;
4. are you testing wired? wireless? over 2.4ghz? over 5ghz?
5. what site are you testing?&nbsp;

Overall, what wired speed do you get? Thats the key detail.&nbsp;

&nbsp;I hope the following will answer you questions:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; V1.0.4.128_10.0.104&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Spectrum Land Line direct to the modem.&nbsp; Router connected Ethernet direct to the Modem&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Laptop Computer&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Both--5 foot Ethernet cable connected between laptop and router.&nbsp; When cable is connected-the 300+ reading, when removed,&nbsp;&nbsp; the 45 to 50 reading.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; I am using the Spectrum Speed Test.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Wired (Ethernet) direct to laptop, 300+, Laptop or Desktop (not wired) on the house WiFi 40 to 50 mps.dsc

So hardwired you get full speed.&nbsp;
When over wireless you're only getting 50mbps Ish.&nbsp;
But you don't say if you're connected to the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz.&nbsp;
2.4ghz is a slow network and sensitive to interference so 50mbps over 2.4ghz rather solid speeds. Over 5ghz, not so much.&nbsp;
What wireless card is in the laptop you're testing with?&nbsp;

&nbsp;The testing was on the 2.4 mbps.&nbsp;Not sure how to find the laptop card but the attached is the devices on that computerI can accept your thought that 2.4 is relatively slow, however, just wondering why the significant drop in speed through the router.dsc
