Need advice upgrading from XFi

Hello,

I currently use the XFi gateway (modem) and the XFi pods.

My home was built in 1860 abd the walls are brick and also lathe/plaster.

WiFi has its issues even with the XFi pods.

I am looking to upgrade am am OK with replacing the XFi gateway was well.

However I would like suggestions on Netgear products to install a better mesh system.

The home is 3 floors (including basement) and about 3,300 sqft.

I do have Xfinity Voice service.

Should I look at something like the following...

NightHawk 10Gbps modem (CM1200) + NightHawk WiFi 6 Mesh + 3 Satellites (MK64)?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

You're going to have issues with all the systems because of the plaster lathe setup.

It does a great job of blocking wifi.

And the xfi pods are actually pretty solid which pains me to say. :)

so If they're struggling to get a reasonable connection, your probably going to struggle with most systems.

If you're wanting solid/reliable connections, you'd be better to invest money into finding a way to hardwire in the access points/satellites from a mesh system.

either by having someone run ethernet, by using powerline (might be sketchy with older wiring), or using moca adapters (ethernet over coax).

      Thank you for the advice.

It's an option I had not considered and probably a fairly pricey one but one i have to keep in mind.

      Thanks again
