Need help with getting the right wifi extender to go with my IInet modem

Hi

 

I have a iinet modem in our loungeroom and im wanting to work from home in the back of our long narrow house which is a dead spot so im needing a wifi extender

 

My work laptop does not have any room for any cable to be connected to it so im needing something that is wireless.

 

Would this work

    tough to say 100% that something will work or won't. 

    What router do you have? 

    How big is the the home? 

    What are the interior walls made of? Certain materials block wifi better than others

      Thanks for your comment.  I dont have a router!  Do i need to get one?  The home is a long, single level,  narrow 3 bed, by 2 bath home.  The room i want to work in is approx 20 square metres away from where the modem is (ie: at the back of house and the modem is at front of house). 

       
      i just converted m2 (square metres) into feet which is  215.278
