The BGW320 is a "gateway" (modem+router), not a simple "modem". To
what is it connected? Some kind of Optical Network Terminal (ONT), or
what?

What, exactly, did you connect to what, exactly? (Hint: If a device
has different types of Ethernet ports, then "connected to device" is not
enough detail.)
Why? Is the BGW320 insufficient/unsuitable, or what?

Which? Sounds optional to me. A web browser should be sufficient.

Helpless, too? Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model
number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least).
Read.
Generally, you'd want one router, not more. If you're connecting the
BGW320 to an ONT, then it's not really acting as a modem, so you might
try connecting the R7000 there, instead.
Alternatively, if you want to use the R7000 to extend the
wireless-network coverage of the BGW320, then you might want to
configure the R7000 as a wireless access point, rather than as a
full-function router. Look for "Set Up the Router as a WiFi Access
Point" in the User Manual.

The bgw320 is connected to at&ts fiber network. I have the router hooked up from port 1 to 1( bgw to the R7000). More so was asking if there's proper way or any advice in proper installment of the R7000 to the bgw320, might be upgrading my router as well. Ive looked up the bgw320, and have 0 clue as to how to go about maxing out speed, or if i need to upgrade

Which part of "exactly" did you find hard to understand? Is there a
cable of some kind or other which is connected from some port or other
on the BGW320? To what is the other end of that cable connected?> [...] I have the router hooked up from port 1 to 1( bgw to the R7000).

your BGW320.- DavidNGarcia95Mar 31, 2021AspirantOh my bad, no the bgw320 is only hooked up the the router and the fiber optic cable, speed just seems slower to me. I did go over the manual, think i might have to rest to factory settings. Not sure if the password was ever changed on the router to access the router settings. Im more so am wondering if i should be upgrading the router, not the bgw. I dont even know if theres another modem that AT&T will be compatible with. Know AT&T is picky that way
