Netgear R7000 v2
Hello: I'm thinking of getting an R7000 wireless router for my daughter. I'll be setting it up remotely with her. I have 3 R7000 routers so I'm pretty familiar with them. Just wanted to know...
We do not have a different version of R7000.
Yes and no. Try working with a WNR2000 v1/v2/v3 vs v4/v5 - TOTALLY different routers!
So, how many hardware versions of the R7000 are there?
i would suggest you go for r7800. Nothing changes apart from dynamic QOS and mu-mimo close to double speed and fastest procy say 1.7ghz dual core. 512mb ram
i know 7000 is still the best hardware netgear ever produced. I loved it and still my rocking router in my and brother house. it can handle anything you throw at it. But not pretty much with stock version. It is meant to used with open source. and it works well.
Coming to your requirement. Its pretty much same interface the holded uptil x10 the latest fastest and costlier router in the market with whooping 400+ dollars.
Consire R7800 OR X4S. the earlier version really bad. this one works cool. My next upgrade would be soon x4s. As when i need to replace the r7000.
