Netgear Router Nighthawk AC1900 R7000 keeps dropping connection to Netgear Modem

Bought this router approximately 1 year ago also purchased a Netgear modem (CM1000) using Spectrum Internet service. Spectrum is working fine but the router keeps dropping connection to various devices. Often a computer will remain connected but all other devices cannot connect to the internet. I must power down both the modem and the router to reconnect all devices. This just started happening in the last month or so.
Firmware version V1.0.9.88_10.2.88. Serial Number 5KS39B7PA09ED
