Netgeart Nighthawk on 2.4Ghz only-how to activate

I want my nighthawk ot be on 2.4Ghz only.  I don't want it on 5Ghz at all.  How do I shut off the 5Ghz?

    You can shut off the 5 Ghz radio.  Go to the top of this page to Downloads, put in your router model number and download the user's manual.  Instructions are in the W-Fi section.  If you would share your router model number, further details can be provided.  Like a page number in the manual.

    what router do you have? 

    Some you can disable smart connect/specific bands. Others you can't.

    So an actual model nubmer helps.

    Manuals are always a good place to start.

    Visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

    Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

    Check the section in the manual Specify Basic WiFi Settings.

    I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
