Nghthawk R8000 Loses internet connection often

Hello.
My router loses internet every other day. This is not internal WIFI related as all my devices can see each other and connect internally. I can connect to the router via the app too. It is only the connection to my cable internet provider that stops working. Rebooting the router is the only way to get the internet connection back. We sometimes have to reboot the router multiple times a day. The firmware is up to date. I also just swapped out the main uplink wire to the cable modem. Is this an issue with the router or cable internet? I have contacted Spectrum cable recently and they say no issues with the line/connection. Thought?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
    Turn off and unplug modem.
    Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.

Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter.

      Router firmware: v1.0.4.84
Cable modem: Charter Spectrum. Looks like the make is Hitron Technologies Inc. EN2251

Im using a new CAT5E yellow patch cable. Second cable ive tried recently.

Also cable modem is the second one ive had. Just got this new one last year. The issue was occurring with the old cable modem too.

Yea i reboot in that order only when I reset the cable modem. Just did it 2 days ago. However when the internet connection is lost between the router and modem, all i do is a router reboot and internet comes right back.

I live in the country so nearest house is hundreds of feet away.

I have never reset the router back to stock.

When the router looses the connection does the Internet LED on the top of the router show AMBER in color? If it does, would mean there is a problem on the ISP side up to the modem and the modem stops giving internet services to the router. Something the ISP would have to look into.

        CAT6 cable would be preferred.

I would try a factory reset and setup from scratch. Set channels 1 and 40.

Don't enable Access Controls, Armor, SPC or Circle and Traffic Meter.

Set up with a wired PC and web browser.
