Nightgear R8000
I was able to see and control the phones connected to the Router but not I can't see anything as of a phone IOS or Android. I used to be able to see them in the GUI but not now. This all started when my wife said that she is not connected to the internet via the router anymore. I assumed her iPhone was blocked as I have the setting to block any new connections. I connected to the router on my computer and found out that I can't see any phones at all connected. My iPhone is connected but is not listed in the GUI. Seems like a big security hole if I can't control or see what's connected to my network? I read threads about people factory resetting the router but that seem ludicrous. I have the router set to auto update the firmware I guess that was a mistake. I thought we are supposed to keep it up to date to prevent security holes?? Please help I thought I was smart I guess not that smart.:( Router cost a lot and is already out of support from 2020
I have the latest Firmware version
| Hardware Version | R8000 |
| Firmware Version | V1.0.4.76_10.1.82 |

If you want to try to fix it without a reset, you can try downgrading the firmware a version to see if thats what caused the issues.
Otherwise I would try a factory reset.

Thank you for the help I do appreciate it. I thought about that but I don't see on Netgears website a lower firmware version?

I recommend v.68 or v.62 FW versions. MInes loaded with v.62 and works well.
