Hi Antinode,
Thanks for your reply, I'm able to solve this out with the following actions
1.I disconnected the ethernet cable from modem to router
2. Power off the router and modem
3. I switch on the router and press the reset button for 10 seconds, without connecting it to the modem
4. Once the router boot up I able to see the Factory created SSID is showing up in the WIFI broadcasting list
5. I turn off the router and turn on the modem and wait for it to get established connection with the local node
6. Once connection is established I connected the ethernet cable from Modem to wifi router and another ethernet cable from router to Mac
7. I connected the router admin page and updated the firmware in the modem
8. I also run the setup wizard again to configure the router and the issue got resolved.
Thank you so much for all your help and guidances
Thanks
Sundher

That all looks normal. With those settings, you should be able to
point your browser to "http://192.168.1.1", and get to the router's
management web site. Does that not work?

The router should figure all that out on its own. The Mac can use
the R6900 (192.168.1.1) as its DNS server, and the R6900 will send any
DNS queries up the line to the next gizmo (the cable modem+router, or
the ISP, depending).

I'm not sure what "nothing got changed" means, but this step
shouldn't be needed. I wouldn't expect that to change anything.
(Almost anything, that is. Specifying any real-world DNS servers will
probably prevent "[www.]routerlogin.net" (and its friends) from working,
but 192.168.1.1 is still 192.168.1.1.)
> I'm more of windows guy
This stuff all works about the same everywhere; only the names are
changed to cause confusion.

That might be reasonable, but you should be able to access the R6900
using http://192.168.1.1 before you do anything with the Arris
modem+router.

Nice to have it confirmed that a factory reset worked for you. Some people see this as "magic", done only when you have not investigated the tries causes of the problem.
I effect, your message is a nice description of the standard strategy.
- Reset the device to factory settings.
- Start your network in the recommended order.
All of this was described quite some time ago in this discussion. But good to see that it finally worked for you.

Hi michaelkenward ,
Yes, I accepted the point it was mentioned earlier in the thread but the only difference is this time router reset was fullback to factory mode instead of partial one's I believe previous router configuration with C3700 modem might be caused this issue.
thanks a lot for this community
Thanks,
